​When I first started thinking about building mobile kitchens, one thing became painfully clear very quickly: The industry was built on compromise.
 

Most mobile kitchens were — and still are — built on cargo trailer frames that were never designed to support the complexity, safety requirements, and daily abuse of a working kitchen. Electrical systems are forced in, and in many cases, placed in dangerous locations. Gas systems are poorly installed with substandard materials and seldom have proper protection. Code Compliance is simply treated as an afterthought, if at all.
 

That might get a unit out the door and profit in your pocket. But it doesn’t protect the operator long-term.

At Red Fern Dynamics, we made a deliberate decision from the beginning: We would never adapt an existing trailer for our kitchens and instead we engineered our kitchens, code books in hand, beginning with the frame and chassis. Without a strong and proper foundation, your product will fail. We are not in the business of second best!
 

That decision led to the development of the MKS™ (Mobile Kitchen Shell) — the only frame and chassis specifically designed for the mobile kitchen industry, with seamless electrical and LP gas integration built-in from day one. It’s trademarked, patent pending, and it represents how we believe mobile kitchens should be built. It even won the 2024 Innovation award from NATM (The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers.) And it is recognized as the only frame and chassis designed for the mobile food industry.
